The patent law firm Dr. Riebling was founded in 1953 by Dr.-Ing. Günter Riebling in Lindau on Lake Constance.

The founder's technical orientation and the rapidly growing client base from all fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and medicine shaped the firm's further development. The firm's emblem symbolises these three disciplines.

Dr.-Ing. Peter Riebling joined the firm in 1974 and was admitted as a German and European patent attorney in 1978.

Dipl.-Ing. Holger Riebling was admitted as a German patent attorney in 2012.

In 2016, Dipl.-Ing. Thorsten Riebling was likewise admitted as a German patent attorney.

In 2023, our firm celebrated its 70th anniversary, and patent attorney Dr.-Ing. Peter Riebling his 45th professional anniversary.

At the beginning of 2026, the patent law firm Dr. Riebling was converted into Dr. Riebling & Partner Patentanwälte mbB. The new legal form ensures the long-term, stable continuation of the firm and guarantees continued personal support for clients in future.

The quality of our advice is reflected in the fact that numerous clients have remained loyal to the firm for over 70 years. At present, three patent attorneys and one patent paralegal are responsible for looking after clients.
